Founded in 1918 as a coal merchant, Bayford is now a diverse energy and property company, delivering fuel to businesses and homes across the country. The company works with National Waterways to deliver fuel by canal, meaning fewer tanker trips and a lower carbon footprint. Led by third-generation owner Jonathan Turner, Bayford also owns the rights to the Gulf petrol-station brand in Britain. The company sold The Fuelcard Co plc in early 2007, when sales reached £335.2m.
