Electronic engineering students Mansoor Hamayun, 27, Laurent Van Houcke, 28, and Christopher Baker-Brian, 29, founded the business in 2010. They have since sold 70,000 solar kits in 14 countries, lifting sales to £5.3m in 2016. Funded by $38m from an investor consortium, Bboxx also provides software to monitor energy use.
