Benx specialises in energy efficiency products such as wall insulation systems and external renders. The Stoke-on-Trent group increased profits to £4m in 2012, partly thanks to government programmes to improve energy efficiency in the face of rising gas and electricity prices. It launched a new division in 2013, Green Deal Energy Centre, specifically to take advantage of these initiatives. The business was co-founded in 2002 by Lyndon Jones, 56, and Alan Robb, 47.
