Led by Naseen Valji, 61, and Mohamed Kanji, 49, Beta has evolved from a single pharmacy, set up in 1986 in Essex, to a wholesaler and exporter of prescription drugs and other medical products. It supplies more than 300 pharmacies in the UK, as well as international clients such as hospitals and NGOs. Exports hit £15.6 million in 2019. Key markets include Europe and east Africa.
