Specialising in top-end housing in the south of England has paid dividends for Hampshire-based Bewley Homes.
With planning officials keen to approve high-density developments, Bewley commonly splits what appear to be large luxury houses into flats.
The company, founded in 1991, also specialises in converting listed buildings through its Bewley Heritage division.
Profits have grown 41% a year from £5m in 1999 to £14.1m in 2002. In December 2002, chairman Colin Brooks led a management buy-in funded by Royal Bank of Scotland.
