This London company arranges meetings between leaders in biopharmaceuticals to solve industry challenges and improve best practice in areas such as the manufacture and supply of drugs. Founded in 2009 by Simon Chalk, 58, Christelle Simpson- Platre, 50, Tony White, 57, Darren Whitman, 53, and Steve Jones, 53, it says it has signed up as clients 24 of the world’s 25 largest biopharma firms, including Bayer, GSK and AstraZeneca. Sales, which represent membership fees from more than 80 groups, hit £6.7m last year. The company sold a minority stake to the private equity firm Vespa Capital in June 2018 for an undisclosed sum. It has begun to expand into the cell and gene therapy industries.
