Aiming to introduce more technology to the construction industry, this company — based in Solihull just outside Birmingham — focuses on safety, security and workforce management. More than 1,000 building sites in the UK have used its technology, including wireless fire safety alarms and biometric fingerprint recognition systems, which are able to scan more than 5m fingerprints every month. Li Wang, 41, and Greg Reynolds, 37, established Biosite in 2010 and oversaw sales of £9.8m last year. The company acquired project management software firm Construct Technology last December for an undisclosed sum, and currently has 650 live projects, with 650,000 workers on its database.
