Tech Track 100

Blue Prism’s 2,500 software robots are used by The Co-op Bank, Shop Direct and Fidelity to perform back office administrative tasks that might otherwise be done by people. The robots improve data processing speed, security and accuracy and help companies flex their workforce to cope with busy periods. Chief executive Alastair Bathgate, 51, and chief technology officer Dave Moss, 40, founded the Merseyside firm in 2001 and sales grew to £4.5m in 2014. Blue Prism forecasts sales of £6.2m this year, helped by strong demand in the US and partnerships with the likes of Deloitte, IBM and Accenture.
