If your television is ever tuned to CBeebies, then your children will identify with this BAFTA-winning studio’s animations. Blue-Zoo was founded by three animation graduates, Tom Box, 35, Oli Hyatt, 35, and Adam Shaw, 36, with a £40,000 loan from family and friends. Its inception in 2000 coincided with the launch of Freeview, and it has since expanded to create children’s content for the BBC, Disney and Sky, as well as commercials for brands including Just-Eat and Innocent. Sales grew to £5.6m in 2014, and are expected to hit £8m next year.
