BOCM PAULS (Agricola Group)

This group claims to be Britain’s largest animal-feed manufacturer. It produces a range of products for livestock, poultry, horses, dogs and even guinea pigs. The company has 20 sites around the country making more than 2m tonnes of feed each year. Agricola is the result of the merger in 1992 of Pauls Agriculture and BOCM Silcock, and is owned by management and the Electra Investment Trust. Chief executive Bill Mayne saw sales grow to £510.8m in 2008.
