Adding another two mills to its assets, bringing the total to 16, BOCM Pauls claims to be Britain’s leading animal feed manufacturer. The company produces more than 2m tons of cattle, pig and poultry feed each year. It was formed in 1992 by the amalgamation of Pauls Agriculture and BOCM Silcock, previously owned by Unilever. The company is majority owned by its management after a buyout in the late 1990s, and is run by chief executive Bill Mayne, who oversaw sales of £360m in 2006.
