Founded in 1997 by Gary Boom and Richard Mannell, Bordeaux Index trades wines from all the well-established regions of Europe and other select areas around the world. Headquartered in London, it sells to 15,000 customers in 140 countries and has offices in Hong Kong and Singapore. The Far East now accounts for more than half its sales, thanks largely to the company being one of the first to capitalise on the region’s increasing interest in wine. International sales grew 34% a year, from £33.7m in 2009 to £60.5m in 2011.
