Neil Parkes founded Bostonair in 1982 as an executive air charter company. When his son Mark joined the business in 1997, the company changed direction and entered the recruitment business, providing aircraft maintenance staff. Bostonair now claims to be one of the largest suppliers of British contract workers to the German aviation industry, and lists Lufthansa Technik and KLM among its customers. Despite the recent downturn in the aviation industry, sales at the Hull company have grown 134% a year from £289,000 in 1999 to an annualised £3.7m in 2002.

This profile reflects the company at time of publication and does not reflect any changes that may have subsequently occurred. Fast Track and its sponsors do not endorse, guarantee or recommend investment in any of the companies.
