Sales have been ringing up for Phones International, whose founder Peter Jones appeared at No 198 in this year’s Sunday Times Rich List. The group owns four companies that distribute, operate and service telecoms equipment in Britain and internationally. Partner companies include Nokia and Vodafone, and it counts Network Rail and Comet among its customers. Despite the recent difficulties in the telecoms market, the High Wycombe company has grown its sales by almost 116% a year from £13.9m in 1999 to £140m in 2002.
