Bridgen is an infrastructure maintenance company that carries out railway renewal and maintenance, track repairs, signalling, testing and welding. It works for and with companies such as Balfour Beatty, Serco and Amec. The London firm, founded in 1996 by Paul Kehoe, recently won a five-year renewable contract with Network Rail. Its sales grew by more than 79% a year from £3.2m in 1999 to an annualised £18.1m in 2002.
