Building on their experience developing cars for Porsche, Mercedes and Bentley, this prestige automotive manufacturer was founded six years ago by brothers Neill, 45, and Ian Briggs, 48. Its sports car, the one-seater BAC Mono, is road legal and boasts a 0-60mph time of 2.8 seconds. This financial year it built 21 cars for wealthy customers, mainly in North America, and sales more than doubled to £2.4m. Next year, with an upgraded model and new distributors in Hong Kong and Japan, the company expects to make 50 cars, with sales rising to £7.5m.
