Planning and buying advertising space for clients such as DFS, Asda and the DVLA is the specialty of Brilliant Media. More than half the company’s billings come from advertising on television or in national newspapers. The group also runs a human-resources communications division that has helped build the careers websites for Little Chef, the restaurant chain and pharmacy group Superdrug. After a management buyout this April, the business is owned and run by nine directors, together with co-founders Steve Lane and David Moutrie. Sales at the Leeds company hit £156m in 2008.
