This West Yorkshire firm’s locks are designed to be impenetrable. It was founded in 2011 by security veteran Steve Stewart, 53, who in 2014, teamed up with joint chief executive Nick Dutton, 49, to create a one-stop-shop for locksmiths. Sales of its own-brand Brisant and Ultion locks, plus distribution of other brands, helped revenue hit £8.8m in 2018. This year it launched its latest innovation — a lock that can be opened using a mobile phone — and plans to focus on the smart home sector in the future by combining locks with other technology.
