This golf and property management company includes ten golf clubs in the south of England and the Midlands. Owned by the Guinness family, it has also invested in miniature “adventure golf” courses since 2014, and now has 13 such venues. When Covid-19 struck, the group had to close its leisure businesses and made use of the furlough scheme for the majority of staff. Led by chief executive Colin Mayes, 65, profits reached £9.9 million in 2019, driven in part by the sale of the Manor of Bosham and its moorings in Chichester harbour, which had been in the Guinness family for almost a century.
