Bybox chief executive Stuart Miller co-founded the company in 2000 with the purchase of a French “left luggage” locker manufacturer. Today, the firm has a Europe-wide network of electronically-operated lockers to which Bybox drivers can deliver 24 hours a day. Typically located in a supermarket or petrol station, users access their drop box via a keypad or barcode reader. The Oxfordshire-based firm has partnered with lingerie retailer Figleaves.com, whose customers use the system rather than home delivery. International sales grew 36% a year from £2.6m in 2008 to £4.8m in 2010.
