Cable Telecom offers telecoms services covering all areas of communication including voice, fax, broadband and data. The London company was set up in 1997 to work with small businesses. Today it also works with the likes of the Bank of England, National Bank of Canada and McDonald’s. Cable Telecom claims that heavy investment in its proprietary software that integrates billing, account management and cash collection has been central to its success and has kept the headcount down to 17. The company boosted its sales by almost 101% a year from £1.5m in 1999 to £12m in 2002.
