Camden Motor Group sold more than 80,000 new Ford, Renault, Nissan and Vauxhall cars in 2003 from its outlets across the Midlands and southeast England. It also operates three car supermarkets in Northampton, Manchester and Cardiff, and offers corporate-fleet services. Sales totalled £1,102m in 2003. Camden was bought out by management in 1996 with backing from Candover. The team sold off the company’s finance subsidiary, Yes Car Credit, for £141m in 2002, and then bought out Candover’s stake in July last year.
