Founded in 1968 by Lord Paul of Marylebone, Caparo Group has a history that dates back to Lord Paul’s father making steel buckets and agricultural implements at the back of the family’s home in India. Today the company is a multinational manufacturing group with 40 sites stretching from America to Australia. It focuses mainly on advanced materials and precision manufacturing and designed and built the Caparo T1 sports car, one of the fastest road cars ever made. Led by chief executive Angad Paul, Lord Paul’s son, sales hit £856m in 2008.
