Car Giant was one of the pioneers of the car supermarket concept when it began trading as Great Trade Centre more than 25 years ago. Led by Antonio Mendes, it stocks 5,000 used vehicles, ranging from Audi and Ford to MG and Vauxhall, at its huge north London site. Some 2,000 cars are on display at once and the complex has 25 acres of garage space. Sales in 2003 were £233.9m.
