Tech Track 100

Submitting a drug for approval requires an enormous amount of documentation. Every detail of the development and trial must be recorded, sometimes creating documents of more than a million pages. CDC develops software that helps a company such as Glaxo Smith Kline to manage the workflow and automate the production of such vast documents. The company was founded in 1994 and is backed by the venture-capital firms 3i and Quester. Although the company made a loss, its sales have grown 57% a year from £3m in 2000 to £7.5m in 2002.

This profile reflects the company at time of publication and does not reflect any changes that may have subsequently occurred. Fast Track and its sponsors do not endorse, guarantee or recommend investment in any of the companies.
