This care services platform uses AI to help detect health issues in the elderly, reducing hospital admissions. It was co-founded in 2016 by chief executive Ben Maruthappu MBE, 32, and non-executive director Marek Sacha, 33, and partners include the NHS, the UK government, IBM, Uber, and Deliveroo. Ben previously co-founded the NHS Innovation Accelerator. The company has 22 offices and matches thousands of carers; it has raised £70m in funding to date, including a £53m round in February this year from investors including Kairos, Yabeo Venture Tech and Guinness Asset Management. A month earlier it bought UK home care firm Mears Care, in a deal worth £30m. Sales reached £3.6m in 2019 and the firm is targeting sales of £54m this year and £250m by 2022.
