Certeco advises clients on large technology programmes. Its services include programme management, planning, quality assurance and testing. The customers are mainly large banks and insurers such as Lloyds TSB, Standard Life and Barclays. The company was founded as Programme Control in 2002 by Richard Mossman, described on its website as “the nicest man in IT”, and Philip “Toots” Tootell. In 2009 it was relaunched as Certeco with Adam Ripley, Gary Davies and Graham Smith joining the board. Sales have grown by 118% a year from £1m in 2008 to £10.7m in 2011.
