Online shopping has catapulted this firm from being a small, family-run bike shop on the outskirts of Belfast to one of the world’s largest web-based cycling stores. With a range of 90,000 bikes and accessories, it attracts customers from more than 100 countries. The company aims to dispatch products on the day they are ordered, having recently invested £2m in automating its packing line to process its 6,000 daily orders. Under managing director Chris Watson, son of founders George and Janice, profits grew 63% a year, from £3.1m in 2007 to £13.5m in 2010.
