Founded in 1992 by chairman Mohammed Zackariya-Marikar, his ex-wife Bette and son Sacha, Change Group operates bureaux de change in 11 countries and 23 cities across Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region. Its 120 shops, located at airports and in the centre of big cities, process 3m customer transactions annually, and this year the firm opened a branch in Harrods, London. Turnover, which represents gross transaction value plus the sale of fashion accessories, increased by 20% to £373.4m in 2010.
