Its customers include car dealerships, local councils and energy suppliers. Founded in 2008 by chief executive David Martell, 66, who founded fleet management software company Trafficmaster, Chargemaster raised its sales to £5.5m in 2013. With many car manufacturers launching battery-powered models, the Luton firm is using investment from Beringea, Helium Rising Stars and BMW to expand in Germany and the Benelux countries.
