Fast Track 100

Spun out from Swansea University in 1985, Chromogenex manufactures laser equipment used in dermatology and cosmetic surgery. Its top product, iLipo, enables a non-invasive procedure that it says penetrates fat cells and promotes weight loss. The company was bought by Peter McGuinness, 46, in 2003, and he has been chief executive since 2008. Chromogenex credits high demand in countries such as America, Brazil and Australia for recent growth. Last year Finance Wales invested £1.2m for a 39% stake.
