A software tool that chartered surveyor Adrian Katz developed for his own work proved so popular with his colleagues that he founded Circle Systems in 1990 to market it. Now the London company develops a range of software tools for investment, valuation and analysis for the property industry. Clients include BP, London Underground and Tesco. Sales have grown 68% a year from £592,000 in 1999 to £1.7m in 2001.
