Clancy Docwra is celebrating its 50th birthday, founded in 1958 by Michael Clancy to undertake groundworks, drainage and roadworks in and around London. It has since become a national construction company operating mainly in the utility, transport, power and infrastructure sectors. Recent contracts include a partnership with Scottish Water to provide customer connections across Scotland, and the installation of a utility infrastructure network to supply the re-developed Jaguar site in Coventry. The group is now jointly managed by Michael’s sons, Kevin and Dermot, who have grown sales to £216.1m in 2007.
