Managing director Simon McLean, 38, launched Click Travel in 1999 while studying at Cambridge University. Today the firm is based in Birmingham, and its customers, including Adecco, Whitbread and TalkTalk, use its website to book business travel and hotels, find cheap deals and manage travel budgets. Last November it secured the contract to provide travel management services to UK local authorities and other public bodies, a deal that could be worth up to £800m over four years. Sales, which are total bookings, grew to £66.4m in 2014.
