Before cloud computing became as common as it is today, Scott Dobson, 54, saw that it would be the next big thing and in 2009 he took a gamble and set up Cloud Distribution to get a foothold in the sector. It paid off, with sales hitting £9.6m in 2013. The Berkshire company started life as the UK distribution partner of the American firm Meraki but now works with some of the world’s leading cloud security and networking companies. Its partners include the American IT firms Watchdox and Aerohive.
