Started in 1997 to produce food cooked ‘like you do at home’, this company now sells its hand-made premium frozen ready meals, party food and puddings from its 86 high street shops, 450 concessions, and online. It made profits of £2.5m last year, when it grew kitchen capacity by 50%, to produce 250,000 frozen meals a week. Co-founded by Dale Penfold, 60, and Edward Perry, 46, the Kent business this year promoted Rosalie Brown, 41, to managing director.
