Each week 63,000 diners sit down at a venue run by Côte Restaurants, whose menu is filled with French brasserie-style dishes. The company now has 35 restaurants, mainly around London and the home counties, but also in Cardiff, Birmingham and Bristol. Five former Strada Restaurants founders started the company in 2007 in Wimbledon, south London. It is now managed by joint managing directors Harald Samuelsson, 44, and Alex Scrimgeour, 41, two former senior managers from Strada. Its majority shareholder, Richard Caring, is reported to be considering a sale of the restaurant chain.
