The group’s facilities include nursing homes for the elderly, psychiatric care facilities and even units for young people with learning disabilities or mental illness. The Worcester company, bought by Legal & General Ventures in 2001, garnered sales of £170.9m in 2006 under chief executive Ted Smith, aided by close partnership with local authorities, the NHS and hospital trusts.
