After a gruelling few years in the telecoms market, when Cramer was forced to cut staff, the Bath company is hiring again. It increased staff by 42% to 300 this year. Co-founded by Jon Craton in 1996, Cramer automates the management of telecom networks. It signed global deals with 18 new service providers last year, including BT and Slovak Telecom. This has helped to increase sales 71% a year from £12.7m in 2002 to £37.4m in 2004, when the company made a good profit. Cramer is now headed by Guy Dubois, who joined in July from the software company PeopleSoft.
