Managing director Andrew Boyle founded CSA Waverley in 1987 with savings of £500. Twenty-five years on, the company provides IT services for mainly public sector clients, specialising in health, with notable projects including its overhaul of the network of Medway Maritime Hospital in Kent. Getting on the government’s Commoditised IT Hardware and Software (CITHS) framework agreement has been key to CSA’s growth, as it opened the way for work with other public bodies including local councils. Sales grew 48% a year, from £7.5m in 2008 to an annualised £24.5m in 2011.
