Change is afoot at Danoptra, the leisure-management company that keeps British pubs and clubs stocked with Gamestec and Bell Fruit machines. It is selling off its Leisure Connection arm, which operates sports centres and swimming pools, to focus on its core business as a maker and distributor of amusement machines. The Leeds company, formerly known as Kunick, has been owned by private-equity house Cognetas since 2002. Under chief executive Colin Daniels, 2005 sales were £197m.
