With the ambition of providing information to the data-centre community, this London firm publishes a magazine, organises conferences and provides training programmes. Co-founders Dan Scarbrough and George Rockett sold their very first advert for an upfront fee in 1999. Today Datacenter Dynamics Focus magazine has a global circulation of 23,000 and is also published in Spanish. The company operates from 10 locations around the world, and hosts 45 conferences a year in 33 countries. Sales grew 90% a year, from £1.5m in 2007 to £10.3m in 2010.
