Managing director Robert Jones and five colleagues set up this Swansea building and civil-engineering firm when their previous employer, Taylor Woodrow, closed its Welsh civil operation in 2002. With backing from a Bahamas-based business angel, the company has expanded its operations outside of Wales and into southwest England, picking up a £10m store contract from Asda in Andover, for example. Having bought Butterley Construction in 2005, the company is looking for further acquisitions. Its sales have grown 76% a year from £7.9m in 2003 to £43.2m in 2006.
