This Glasgow company installs standby generators for businesses and public sector organisations that require back-up power if the mains electricity fails. Paul Moore, 42, founded the business in 2004, having worked in the sector since his early twenties. In 2009, Nevis Capital made an investment for a minority stake and subsequently helped Dieselec acquire Thistle Generators. The company opened a London office in 2009 and has seen sales grow thanks to repeat business and large contracts for the likes of Goldman Sachs, Bank of England and PwC.
