Retailers target online shoppers by using Digital Window’s network of 150,000 affiliates, including price-comparison and loyalty sites, blogs and search engines. When shoppers referred from these sites to a retailer’s website make a purchase, the retailer pays Digital Window and the affiliate a percentage of the sale. John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, DSGI (formerly Dixons Group) and Vodafone are among the firm’s clients. It also runs shopping channels for The Sun, News of the World and Virgin Media. The company is led by co-founder Kevin Brown, and its sales have grown 101% a year from £2.4m in 2004 to £19.6m in 2007.
