Reading’s Distribution Technology claims that its software helps financial advisers lose the “sell and forget” label that has tainted their profession. The company’s technology means that advisers, and institutions including the Co-op, Lloyds Bank and Friends Provident, can recommend financial planning products tailored to customer requirements, without having to process information manually. Co-founders Ben Goss, Patrick Fitzgerald and Adrian Hall are part of the management team. New products, including point-of-sale technology, have helped the company’s sales grow 99% a year from £871,000 in 2005 to £3.5m in 2007.
