The Beverly Hills Hotel is a favourite of celebrities and is one of the seven luxury hotels run by the Dorchester Collection, along with the Plaza Athénée in Paris and the Dorchester in London. The group was established in 2006 by the Brunei Investment Agency to manage its luxury hotels. Chief executive Christopher Cowdray has ambitious plans—the group’s next two openings include 45 Park Lane, a boutique 46-room hotel in Mayfair, London, and Coworth Park Country House estate and spa near Ascot, Berkshire. Sales reached £259.4m in 2008.
