Dunelm Mill

Dunelm Mill was founded in 1979 by Bill Adderley and his wife Jean. Selling soft furnishings such as curtains, bed linen, rugs and cushions, the pair built up a network of high-street stores. Now the company specialises in larger format out-of-town shops selling home and kitchenware, lighting and gifts as well as soft furnishings. Currently headed by Will Adderley, son of the founders, the company has more than 70 outlets across Britain, most of them in the Midlands. It had sales of £238.9m in 2004, when operating profits reached £32m.
