Founded as a retail pharmacy in 1963, Durbin now imports and exports pharmaceuticals and medical equipment to more than 10,000 customers in 184 countries throughout the world. Its clients range from GPs and chemists to the military and relief organisations. Its warehouse near Heathrow airport has a stock of more than 20,000 medical products. In 1999, managing director Leslie Morgan bought the company from the founding Durbin brothers and has since increased sales across all its divisions. International sales have risen 41% a year from £19.1m in 2009 to £37.8m in 2011.
