He started selling cleaners based on his revolutionary cyclone technology in 1993 and by 1997 was outselling Hoover and Electrolux put together. The Wiltshire company now claims to be the leading brand in Britain, America, Australia, New Zealand and western Europe. Global expansion has driven up profits 73% a year from £24.6m in 2002 to £128.1m in 2005.
